Expo 2020 required a highly coordinated FF&E procurement program for a large-scale commercial environment in Dubai, where design intent, visitor durability, and fixed event deadlines had to align without compromise. IHG Brands managed the execution of approved specifications across multiple public-facing zones, including reception lounges, meeting suites, collaborative work areas, dining touchpoints, and back-of-house support spaces. The project demanded disciplined sourcing, strict submittal control, and close coordination with consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure every package met aesthetic, functional, and compliance requirements. A key challenge was balancing premium presentation with heavy daily use expected from an international event venue. Lead-time sensitivity, multi-vendor integration, and installation sequencing within a live construction environment required detailed documentation and proactive issue resolution. Our team applied value engineering where appropriate, identifying alternatives that preserved the original design language while improving procurement efficiency and delivery certainty. From furniture and custom joinery to decorative lighting, loose accessories, and operational equipment, each item was tracked through specification review, supplier alignment, logistics, delivery, and final placement. The result was a polished commercial space delivered with accountability, clear reporting, and minimal site disruption. For a project of this visibility in the UAE market, our role as the execution bridge between design and delivery ensured the FF&E package was completed on time, on budget, and to the expected international standard.
